Rotoflow bin agitators, silo dischargers or silo discharge aids, make the controlled flow of most non-free flowing materials possible in silos and prevent ratholing, bridging and incomplete material withdrawal from the silos.
The ABC Hansen Rotoflow 600 has an inner diameter of 600mm – making it easy to fit to most hopper type silos – with minimal or no changes or adjustments to the standard silo outlets. The Rotoflow is installed outside the silo, due to the ease of installation – and the vibration is achieved using a high frequency vibration motor – which are recommended for dry, cohesive products that have a tendency to arch and bridge.
The rotoflow should be installed – so that it is only in operation, when the silo’s unloading conveyor is running – and you actually want to discharge the silo. Typically the Rotoflow and the discharging conveyor would be interlocked ot run together. Running the Rotoflow – without discharging the material – may cause additional compaction of the material in the silo – causing more severe flow problem.
Flow rates on the 600mm unit are up to 50TPH based on product with a density of 650kg/m³
